I am such a bad blogger!

I can't believe how bad I have been at blogging! For awhile it was because my little chickadee was not sleeping and my brain was completely mush! Now it is because I am busy. My niece's 1st birthday is Saturday and my sister somehow conned me into making her cake. And not just any cake, but a huge castle cake. Ginormous! It has two layers and tons of towers and turrets. And I am also making an individual one for the birthday girl. It will be adorable when it is finished, but this was a huge undertaking for someone with a demanding newborn. Hopefully once this is finished I can return to regular blogging. But for now....the cake awaits.......

  1. Isn't GOD great!!! Remember where you were emotionally JUST 1 year ago when your niece was born, and now you will be bringing your daughter to her 1st birthday??? It just gives me goose bumps all over thinking about it!!!

What a difference just 1 year makes!!! Would you have believed you would have a daughter to bring to her party is anyone would have told you that???

Please post pictures of the cake!!!

    Hugs!!!

  4. Isn't it crazy how much time and attention a newborn needs? I was gobsmacked when I became a new mama. I thought for sure when I went on maternity leave that I would have all the time in the world to do everything. Ha! I was lucky to get anything done short of feeding and diapering my baby.

It will get better and easier. You'll find your groove, and then you'll be back to blogging before you know it.

    Hang in there!

  5. Would love to see some photo's of the finished cake! It would be awesome to be able to bake things like that but I wouldn't even know where to start! I love baking but more along the lines of decadent chocolate cakes, brownies and chocolate chip cookies :-) Hope you manage ok with your newborn! What an undertaking! GOOD LUCK!!
