It's standard at my clinic to do AH with all FETs because the shell on frozen embryos is often harder than on fresh embryos, at least that's what I was told. Not that frozen embies can't hatch on their own (obviously), but my embryologist wanted to give all the embryos as much help as possible.Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12913437271676007085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5982682332312205751.post-55907088644021505472013-02-04T12:33:35.074-08:002013-02-04T12:33:35.074-08:00i agree with the comments above, AH is done on day...i agree with the comments above, AH is done on day 3 embryos, not blasts. I would never have seen a positive at 8dp5dt, only ever saw a very faint one at 9dp5dt, I'm a low beta person! Still holding on t hope for you. I transferred blastocysts for all of my FETs, and I just know she didn't do AH on blasts (at least back then).Aaron and Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10331025232659525614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5982682332312205751.post-63075176710185722952013-02-04T11:02:28.126-08:002013-02-04T11:02:28.126-08:00Prayers prayers prayers! Everybody and every pregnancy is different... there's still hope!

Jennifer- She didn't do AH on our 2PN embies that were allowed to mature to 3 days before transfer. I wonder if they might only do it if it was done when the bio parents had AH with their transfers n 3 day embryos? This time I never thought to ask and never was told that it was being done and the RE went over everything in quite a bit of detail. I just searched their site and for a single IVF is states that ICSI & assisted hatching were an additional charge. So I am assuming that it was not done or I would have paid for it. But if I were you I would definitely ask about it before your cycle.
